I seldom make a comment about anything in the news; the reason is that commenting on the news is like a dog chasing its tail, you never quite catch-up. As Vickie will attest, I'm out of the loop when it comes to popular "culture", including popular church "culture". There again, keeping up with popular church "culture" and goings-on is like the dog and tail show, plus the fact is that it is circular and so it won't get one very far, though it will exhaust you.
When Vickie told me about Robertson's Alzheimer's comments I was amazed - how could this be? And how could his organization countenance the nonsense? But of course since it is Robertson's organization people will apparently countenance whatever they have to in order to maintain a position and a paycheck.
Russell Moore at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville has a nice piece on his blog in response to Robertson, you can read it by clicking the link below.

I've also included the following link to an article by Robertson McQuilkin in Christianity Today in 2004 - McQuilkin writes about his marriage and his wife's Alzheimer's - the title of the article is: Living by Vows - Pat Robertson could learn something from Robertson McQuilkin.
